Reach a person

One address, read by the developer: christophe@argocy.com. It is the same address the Send feedback row on the app's About screen writes to, and that row fills in your app version, build number and iOS version for you. The published expectation is a reply within two working days.

If you are reporting something that went wrong, the useful things to include are what you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead. A screenshot beats a description.

Common questions

Do I need an account?

No. There is no account, no sign-in and no server. The app opens straight into your checklist library the first time you launch it.

Does it work without a signal?

Entirely. Running a checklist has never needed connectivity, and this version of the app makes no network requests of its own at all — there is no networking code in it.

What happens if the app is killed halfway through a run?

Nothing is lost. Every tick is written the instant you make it, not on finish and not on a timer. Reopen the checklist and it resumes where it stopped, whether that was a minute or a week ago.

Where are my checklists stored, and can I get them out?

In the app's own storage on your device, as the original files. Any checklist can be exported through the standard iOS share sheet — Mail, Files, AirDrop, another app — and imported the same way. They are plain Markdown, so they open in any text editor.

Can I write checklists on a computer?

Yes. A checklist is a Markdown file with a short header block; write it in whatever editor you like and bring it in through the share sheet or the Files app. The format is documented in the file itself — export one of the bundled checklists and you have a template.

Can I export a completed run as a PDF?

Not in this build. Completed runs are kept in History with their timestamps and the time zone they were captured in, but PDF export, the finger signature and the location stamp are all in the next release.

Does it sync between my iPhone and my iPad?

Not yet. Each device keeps its own library and its own history in this build. Sync is planned through your own iCloud account — your data going to Apple under your Apple Account, not to a server run by us.

Can my crew share a library, or can I see what they ran?

Not yet. Teams, invitations and shared history are a later release. Today the app is the solo run-and-prove loop, and the checklists travel between people as files.

How do I switch to Night mode?

The theme button on the run screen cycles Light → Dark → Night, and Settings has the same choice. Night is never selected automatically, on any system setting — the system dark mode maps to Dark.

Are the 43 bundled checklists approved procedures?

No. They are seamanship and engineering examples written by the developer, shipped so that the library is not empty on first launch. They are meant to be edited or deleted. Where your operator has an approved procedure, that one governs — the About screen inside the app says the same thing.

Which devices does it run on?

iPhone and iPad on iOS or iPadOS 18 and later, from an iPhone SE through an iPad Pro. A Wi-Fi-only iPad with no GPS is a supported device, not an edge case. There is no Android or web version.

How much does it cost?

Nothing during the beta, and there is no purchase surface in the app. It will be paid on the App Store — a one-off price for a single professional, a flat monthly price for a crew charged per team rather than per seat. The numbers are not set and will be published here first.

How do I delete everything the app holds?

Delete the app. There is no copy anywhere else. If you have iPhone or iPad backups switched on, your app data is inside those backups like any other app's — that backup is yours, under your Apple Account.
